The Nanxi Wetland Park in Changchun, Jilin province, recently welcomed a Eurasian coot family with seven newly hatched chicks.
The nine birds were seen swimming on the shimmering water or diving into the reeds to forage, inviting photographers and tourists to stop and take photos.
Eurasian coots have high requirements for water quality and ecological conditions. Their repeated choice to nest and breed in the park in recent years reflects the continuous improvement of the wetland's ecosystem.
