Fifteen hundred cyclists race Hengshui Lake's wetland shores in Hebei

More than 1,500 cyclists from nearly 100 teams raced along the shores of Hengshui Lake on Sunday in Hengshui, Hebei province, as the 2026 China Road Cycling Open kicked off its regional leg, combining fierce competition with a showcase of local ecological beauty.
Held under the theme "Wetland Gallery, Green Vitality", the event was organized by the Chinese Cycling Association, the Hebei provincial sport bureau, and the Hengshui city government.
It offered seven categories, ranging from men's club, elite, open, university, and youth divisions to a women's elite race and a public recreational ride, bringing opportunities for professional competition and broad participation.
