Young skateboarders showcase their flair in Sichuan

Zheng Haohao, a 13-year-old skateboarder from Guangdong province, was thrilled and surprised by her own performance at the Asian Skateboarding Championships 2026 in April in Meishan, Sichuan province.
Skateboarding, once a niche sport in China, has gained increased popularity among a new generation since its first inclusion in the Tokyo Olympics.
Yu Jinmo, 13, and Wu Bowen, 19, also took part in the championships.
The skaters shared how they fell in love with the sport, what keeps their passion for it alive, and their dreams for the future.
