Torrential rain floods Qinzhou, Guangxi, as city raises flood alert

Torrential downpours battered Qinzhou, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, on Monday, prompting the city to activate a Level III flood control emergency response.
According to Qinzhou's meteorological bureau, the urban area and surrounding townships were pummeled by rain between midnight and 8 am Monday.
Jiulong town in Qinnan district notched the highest rainfall total at 362.2 millimeters during the window, with an extreme hourly rainfall peak of 143.3 millimeters recorded at 4 am the same day.
