In November 1949, following the Central Military Commission's directive to establish aviation schools first, then build the air force, the military set up seven aviation schools across China.
Many key personnel from the Northeast Democratic Alliance Aviation School played pivotal roles in the schools and related units.
The Aviation University of Air Force in Changchun carries on its legacy, nurturing a new generation of aerospace heroes and aviation talent.
Veteran Ma Zhanjun expressed pride, saying, "The history of China's aviation development is fully displayed at the center. It fills me with confidence and hope for our national aviation industry, and I am proud of our country's construction and strength."
