Over 20,000 from home and abroad take part in first sci-tech intl month
The first international month organized by the China Association for Science and Technology concluded, creating a cross-border, cross-disciplinary, and cross-cultural platform to advance trust and cooperation in science and technology.
Zhang Bin, deputy director of the Department of International Cooperation of the association, said Wednesday that upholding the principle of building a community with a shared future for humanity and the four major global initiatives, more than 60 activities were held during the period with over 20,000 Chinese and foreign experts participating from more than 110 countries and regions.
Experts engaged in in-depth discussions on key sectors and technologies such as strategic emerging industries, advanced manufacturing, digital and information communication technologies, energy and materials, ecology and space, Zhang said.
Fruitful results were achieved, including the establishment of specialized organizations, the formulation of industry standards, and the signing of bilateral cooperation agreements, he added.
