Modern African Makonde sculpture exhibition opens in Changchun

An exhibition of modern Makonde sculptures from Africa has opened at the Songshan Hanrong African Art Collection Museum, located in Changchun World Sculpture Park in Jilin province.
The exhibition showcases nearly 9,000 pieces of artwork from African countries such as Tanzania, Malawi and Zambia, featuring the best in terms of high-quality collection, the largest in scale, involving renowned artists and the most comprehensive range of works from the past five decades, according to the museum.
The exhibition offers local residents and tourists in Changchun a chance to immerse themselves in the artistic charm of the distant African continent and explore its cultural mysteries without traveling abroad.
