Li stresses efforts to consolidate growth momentum

Premier Li Qiang has called for efforts to consolidate and expand the positive momentum of economic recovery.

Li made the remarks on Monday while chairing the ninth plenary meeting of the State Council, China's Cabinet. He said that since the beginning of the year, China's economy has made steady progress, achieving new successes in high-quality development.

The premier emphasized the need to further enhance the effectiveness of macroeconomic policies and stabilize market expectations.

He said that it is crucial to continuously unlock consumption potential, systematically remove restrictive measures in the consumption sector, and accelerate the cultivation and expansion of new growth areas, such as service consumption and innovative consumption.

Li also urged robust measures to support the stabilization and recovery of the real estate market.

In addition, efforts should be made to enhance development momentum through deepening reform and opening-up, he said, underscoring the need to firmly expand high-level opening-up and introduce more policies for voluntary and unilateral opening-up.
