To mark the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Xizang autonomous region, the Department of Ecology and Environment of Xizang released the documentary Himalayan Flower Fairy on Friday.

Centered on butterflies, the documentary details their distribution evolution, adaptations, life cycles, and habitat conditions in Xizang.

It showcases the historic achievements in ecological and environmental protection since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, highlighting advances in building an ecological security barrier, pioneering ecological civilization, and creating a beautiful Xizang to reaffirm its status as having some of the highest ecological quality in the world.
