5.4-magnitude quake hits waters off Taiwan: CENC

BEIJING -- A 5.4-magnitude earthquake jolted waters east of China's Taiwan region at 3:45 pm Thursday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter was monitored at 24.50 degrees north latitude and 123.00 degrees east longitude. The earthquake struck at a depth of 80 km, the center said.
