Relay event for 2025 World Humanoid Robot Games launched in Beijing
A relay event for the 2025 World Humanoid Robot Games was launched on Tuesday, with humanoid robots completing a symbolic relay at the Badaling section of the Great Wall in Beijing's Yanqing district.
The event, called the "Energy Blocks Transmission," aims to showcase both the capital's openness and global advancements in science and technology, according to Beijing Evening News.
During the month-long event, the robots will appear across Beijing, interacting with residents through movement demonstrations and collaborative tasks, offering the public a close-up look at cutting-edge robotics.
The relay will continue until Aug 14, when the 2025 World Humanoid Robot Games officially open at the National Speed Skating Oval. The event, the world's first major competition featuring humanoid robots as primary participants, will run from Aug 14 to 17.
