Alongside these, the Gotha collections feature a range of European and regional treasures, offering a juxtaposition of styles, techniques, and histories.

Herzogliches Museum Gotha was founded in the early 18th century, making it one of the oldest museums in Germany.

In May 2026, the German museum will take its collection to Xi'an for the first time, holding an exhibition at Xi'an Qujiang Museum of Fine Arts.

Xi'an Qujiang Museum of Fine Arts opened in 2012 and is one of the first private museums in China.
