New standards boost GBA connectivity integration

Across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, 235 standards have been issued in recent years, spanning transport, healthcare, food, weather, and culture.
The standards are designed to strengthen connectivity in the Bay Area. They were formulated by 3,563 organizations, including research institutions, universities, business associations, and enterprises, said Xiao Han, director of the Standard Innovation Department of the State Administration for Market Regulation, at a news conference in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, on Wednesday.
The willingness to use these Bay Area standards has increased, with scenarios for applying the standards constantly expanded, he said.
Nine fresh Bay Area standards are soon to be launched, covering industries, business practices, and culture, according to Chen Xinlie, director of the Guangdong Administration for Market Regulation.
