China and Mongolia youths attend cultural exchange event in Beijing

Around 200 young people from China and Mongolia gathered in Beijing to discuss mutual learning among civilizations and mutual development on Tuesday.

The event was held by the International Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China, with the support of the China International Youth Exchange Center.

Xu Xiao, executive secretary of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China, emphasized the importance of China and Mongolia strengthening dialogue and cooperation, and jointly advancing toward modernization for the peace, stability and prosperity of Asia and the world. He expressed the hope that the youth of both countries would serve as faithful practitioners in cultural preservation and inheritance, active leaders in cultural innovation and development and strong promoters of cultural exchange and cooperation.

Zhao Shitong, an official from the International Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said that China and Mongolia are friendly neighbors who stand by and help each other, good partners who seek mutual benefits and win-win outcomes, and good friends who frequently interact with each other. Enhancing youth exchanges is an important component of the interactions between the two parties, and it is a significant endeavor that is beneficial not only for the present but also for the future.

Zhao also expressed the hope for strengthening cooperation among youth from both sides to contribute to the advancement of the two parties' relationship and the establishment of a community of shared future between China and Mongolia.

Byaruuzana Purevdagva, president of the Social Democratic Youth Mongolia, said that Mongolia and China are friendly neighbors, and the younger generation shoulders the historical responsibility of advancing bilateral relations. He expressed his belief that the collaborative efforts of the youth from both nations will significantly contribute to regional peace, stability, development and prosperity.

During the event, youth from both sides had in-depth discussions on topics such as traditional culture and innovative inheritance, cultural exchanges and jointly building the Belt and Road Initiative, as well as technological innovation and artificial intelligence development. The event also set up an artificial intelligence experience area, providing Mongolian representatives with the opportunity to explore China's cutting-edge advancements in artificial intelligence technology.
