Jinshan dazzles beachgoers with stunning fireworks display

Dazzling, cinematic fireworks shows staged at Shanghai Jinshan City Beach on Saturday and Monday, offered global visitors an unforgettable seaside experience filled with festive cheer.

Integrating original storytelling into fireworks displays for the first time, the show transformed the beach and the sea into a boundless movie theater and a natural screen.

Huang Cheng, director of the fireworks shows, introduced that the whole performance consisted of three chapters, which respectively depict the changing seasons, as well as love and growth of human life. The fireworks designs and narrative threads are intricately interwoven, unfolding a full story with an exciting beginning, gradually progressive ups and downs, and punctuated with a strong ending.

In recent years, the Jinshan district has continued to build on the "Shanghai Bay Area" brand. Leveraging its unique coastal resources, the district has been consistently innovating new forms of cultural and tourism industries.

With such efforts, this year's show also featured floating lounge seats on the water and paddleboard seating for unique viewing experiences. Diverse installations, themed photo spots, a seaside cultural and creative market, and a specialty food section were also set up to offer visitors an immersive all-day tourism experience, where they can "stroll along the beach by day and watch fireworks by night", according to Zhu Li, marketing manager at Shanghai Jinbinhai Group.
