"It blurs the definition of disability and expands the meaning of disability inclusion. Whatever our identity, we all encounter dilemmas in life, regrets, discontent, and fixations. These imperfections shape us and become essential parts of our selves," says the play's director Ma Yan.
The plays are inclusive environments for the performers and audience alike. The vast majority of performers are individuals with disabilities, who are encouraged to join the creative process and express themselves. They will be performed with Chinese and English subtitles, and sign language interpreting will also be on offer.
