The storyline is set in the near future, when people can communicate with unborn babies through technology. Every fetus, at eight months, is given the right to choose whether to be born. The plot follows four families from different backgrounds, including a deaf couple, and a mother in a wheelchair.
Despite the futuristic setting, the interwoven yet independent stories are roughly based on the real life experiences of members of the troupe. Through the dialogues between the fetuses and the parents, the play explores questions of existence, choice, disability, and love.
