Driver detained after Zhuhai hit-and-run

A 62-year-old driver has been detained after a hit-and-run incident at a sports center Monday night in Zhuhai, Guangdong province, which left multiple pedestrians injured, according to a statement from the local public security department.
The man, surnamed Fan, drove a car that collided with several pedestrians at the Sports Center in Xiangzhou district, Zhuhai, and then fled the scene around 7:48 pm, the district's public security department said.
The injured were sent to the hospital. The exact number of victims has not been disclosed and further investigation is still underway, it added.
