Guiyang Mayor Ma Ningyu under investigation for violations of Party discipline and law
Ma Ningyu, mayor of Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, is undergoing disciplinary review and supervisory investigation for suspected serious violations of Party disciplines and the law, as announced by the Guizhou Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and the provincial supervisory commission on Tuesday.
Ma, 47, also serves as the deputy secretary of the Communist Party of China Guiyang Municipal Committee. He joined the Party in 1994 and began his career in 2003, spending most of his career life in Guizhou and once served as the secretary of Guizhou Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League of China, and head of Big Data Development Administration of Guizhou Province.
He became the director of the Guian New Area Administration Committee in late 2021 and became the mayor of Guiyang in January 2022.
