Power company seeks to stabilize supply
As it is the summer, electricity consumption across the country has surged significantly, which requires a more stable and reliable power supply.
Against such a backdrop, the power supplier in Neihuang county of Central China's Henan province has stepped up efforts to improve local electrical facilities.
The State Grid's Neihuang Power Supply Co said it has dispatched more than 20 workers to upgrade the local transmission lines, by removing the old switches and installing new drain wires.
The company said appropriate safety precautions have been taken to protect the workers, such as installing fences, conducting electrical testing, and hanging ground wires. In addition, all the work has been done late at night to minimize the impact on people's normal lives.
Efforts will be made to carry out more inspections of the electrical facilities, reduce power outages and shorten their duration, the company added.
