5.0-magnitude quake hits Taiwan: CENC

BEIJING -- A 5.0-magnitude earthquake jolted sea area in Taiwan's Hualien county at 10:40 am Sunday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter was monitored at 23.49 degrees north latitude and 121.60 degrees east longitude. The earthquake struck at a depth of 20 km, the center said.
