Septic tank gas poisoning incident kills 7 in Sichuan

The cause of a septic tank gas poisoning incident which killed seven people in Pengzhou city of Sichuan province on Saturday is currently under investigation, according to the Pengzhou municipal emergency management bureau.
The incident took place on Saturday afternoon in Pengzhou, a city under the administration of the Sichuan provincial capital of Chengdu. Relevant departments, such as emergency, firefighting, health and agriculture and rural affairs went to the scene to carry out a rescue operation, and all seven people were pulled from the tank.
Among them, four were declared dead after an on-site rescue, and three passed away while in the hospital undergoing treatment, the bureau said.
