China's box office revenue on 1st day of Spring Festival holiday exceeds 1.1b yuan

BEIJING -- As of 6 pm Saturday, China's box office revenue on the day, the first day of the Spring Festival holiday, had reached 1.14 billion yuan ($160 million), data from the China Movie Data Information Network showed.
Domestic comedy-drama film Pegasus 2 led the daily box office chart, generating a daily revenue of over 343 million yuan so far on its premiere day.
It was followed by domestic comedy-drama film Yolo, which also debuted Saturday, with a daily revenue of over 336.5 million yuan.
Another newcomer Boonie Bears: Time Twist, the latest installment of a well-known Chinese animated movie series, came in third, earning 225.9 million yuan on the day.
