Editor-in chief Leng Bo, a researcher at the institute, said the journal was launched to facilitate a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the Taiwan question and cross-Strait relations in the international community.
The first issue includes seven academic articles, written by authors including professors from mainland universities and research institutes, and Taiwan scholars.
Wu Yongping, director of the Taiwan Research Institute at Tsinghua University, said the establishment of an English-language academic journal on Taiwan affairs on the mainland was a milestone that provided a platform for the academic community.
