Apple farmers in Hebei benefit from farming collective

Luanping county in Chengde, North China's Hebei province recently witnessed a bountiful apple harvest at the Jiucheng Agricultural and Livestock Cooperative in Shaoguoying village.
Located about 160 kilometers northeast of downtown Beijing, the county has made full use of its natural resources, including mountainous areas, wastelands, slopes and small scattered plots, to develop its fruit farming industry in recent years.
The county's industrialization was carried out via cooperation among local governments, cooperatives and farmers, increasing local incomes and promoting rural vitalization in the process.
The Jiucheng Agricultural and Livestock Cooperative is an example of the model's success.
By organizing farmers and gathering other resources, the cooperative has established an efficient and sustainable apple plantation industry.
With the guidance of the local government, it has utilized modern farming techniques and advanced technology to maximize productivity.
