One dead after hammer attack in Hubei

An assault with a hammer on Hangzhou West Road in Huangshi's Xialu district, Hubei province occurred around 6 pm Sunday, leaving one dead, according to the announcement from the district government on Monday afternoon.
The suspect, Yuan, was arrested on the scene wielding a hammer. The victim, Zhang, died despite attempted rescue. Investigations are ongoing, the announcement added.
