Over 11.8m entry-exit trips recorded in China during 8-day holiday

BEIJING -- Border inspection agencies across China have seen more than 11.8 million entry and exit trips made during the eight-day Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday that ended Friday, data from the National Immigration Administration (NIA) showed Saturday.
The average number of daily entry and exit trips reached nearly 1.48 million, a 2.9-fold increase compared with the same period of 2022, according to the NIA.
About 5.87 million trips were inbound and nearly 5.95 million were outbound.
