Chinese trade unions to convene 18th national congress

BEIJING -- The All-China Federation of Trade Unions on Friday said it will convene its 18th national congress in Beijing on Oct 9.
A total of 2,002 elected delegates, 60 specially invited delegates and 50 guests from Hong Kong and Macao will attend the congress, which is held every five years, according to the ACFTU.
The congress will revise the Constitution of Trade Unions of the People's Republic of China and elect a new leadership for the ACFTU.
