NEV exports soar in first 8 months
China's exports of new energy vehicles soared 110 percent year-on-year in the first eight months amid rapid expansion of the sector, industry data showed. A total of 727,000 NEVs were exported during the period, said the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers. Exports of pure electric vehicles surged 120 percent during the period to 665,000 units, while exports of plug-in hybrid EVs jumped 73.5 percent to 62,000 units, the association said.
B2B travel trade show underway in Shanghai
ITB China 2023, a leading business-to-business travel trade show focusing on the Chinese travel market, began on Tuesday in Shanghai. The travel trade show aims to reconnect global travel suppliers with the resurgent Chinese market, forging a collective path forward for the industry. At the three-day event, some 360 tourism companies from nearly 60 countries are presenting their products and services.
