Chinese vice-premier delivers speech at CCICED 2023 meeting
BEIJING -- Chinese Vice-Premier Ding Xuexiang, also chairperson of the China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development (CCICED), delivered a speech at the 2023 annual CCICED meeting on Wednesday.
Ding, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said the Chinese government will support the CCICED's development and support it in playing a bigger role, as always.
Ding said he hopes attendees will strengthen research and exchanges, provide suggestions on promoting China's environment and development, and contribute more wisdom and strength to building a clean and beautiful world.
Themed "Green Empowerment and High-Quality Development," the meeting attracted about 500 attendees from home and abroad, and focused on biodiversity conservation, climate change, green Silk Road construction and green finance innovation.
