Hotel blaze kills 9, injures 2

Nine people died and two were injured in a fire in a hotel in Zhaoxing village of Liping county in Guizhou province around 1 am Friday, according to the county's emergency management bureau.
The fire, which broke out at about 1 am, was put out 30 minutes later. Initial investigation showed that the fire damaged the structure covering an area of 240 square meters.
The injured were sent to hospital. Investigation to determine the cause of the fire was underway, the bureau said.
