Three Gorges Dam receives over 10m tourists in past five years

WUHAN -- The Three Gorges Dam resort at the world's largest hydropower project has received over 10 million tourists over the past five years, the China Three Gorges Corporation said.
In the first quarter of this year, the Three Gorges Dam resort received about 450,000 people, an increase of 7.27 percent over the same period of 2019 and a record high.
The Three Gorges Dam is a major tourist site along the Yangtze River and the country's largest industrial tourism site. Having generated electricity since 2003, the dam opened to the public in 2005.
