Former rail transit executive stands trial for bribery

Lu Jinzhong, former head of a rail transit real estate group, was accused of taking 150 million yuan in bribes and stood trial on Monday in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.
Lu, the former Communist party secretary of Nanning Rail Transit Real Estate Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of Nanning Rail Transit Group, was charged for bribery offenses which allegedly took place from 2011 to 2022, as well as money laundering.
According to a previous investigation, from May 2021 to Spring Festival 2022, Lu spent 7.98 million yuan either on stock investment or transferring money to others in order to cover up his crimes.
Lu pleaded guilty to the charges during the trial, and a verdict will be announced at a later date.
