Chinese courts have strongly supported the nation's high-quality opening-up efforts, with a conclusion of 95,000 foreign-related disputes over the past five years, a report from China's top court said.

From 2018 to 2022, courts nationwide also concluded 76,000 maritime cases involving foreign elements, according to the report, which was submitted by the Supreme People's Court to the ongoing first session of the 14th National People's Congress, the country's top legislature, for deliberation on Tuesday.

The report said that all courts implemented the principle of giving equal protection to Chinese and foreign investors, adding that several guidelines on providing legal services for the building of free trade zones and high-quality development were issued during the period.

It also noted that Chinese judicial credibility has been improved around the world, with courts' increasing international exchanges and cooperation with other countries.

In another report submitted to the session for review on Tuesday by the Supreme People's Procuratorate, the country's top procuratorate, Chinese prosecutors dealt with more than 20,000 foreign-related criminal cases and 855 criminal judicial assistance cases from 2018 to 2022.
