Railway sector forms alliance to promote development
An alliance to promote science and technology innovation in the railway sector has been established in Beijing on Friday, aiming at gathering resources to carry out joint researches in key technologies, promote the industrial application of railway innovation results and enhance technology communication as well as talent training, according to China State Railway Group, the national railway operator.
The alliance, led by CSRG, includes key enterprises, universities and research institutes, aiming for deep integration of the academic, research and industry.
The alliance will carry out joint researches in the hope to make breakthroughs in key technologies. It will allocate resources to serve the country's strategic plan and study the global frontier technology, deploy key tasks and carry out research to promote technology and innovation capabilities in the field.
It will also promote the industrial application of railway innovation achievements. Efforts will be made to promote the deep integration of the sector's innovation and industrial application. It aims at accelerating the transformation and application of railway innovation results based on China's huge market and rich application scenarios. The sector's R&D and industrialization will be promoted at the same time to support China's railway technology to be applied overseas.
The alliance also aims at training science and technology talents with innovation capability in the railway sector. It will establish a platform for a railway technology exchange and achievements exhibition, deepen technical exchanges and cooperation in China and abroad in key fields, attract and gather talents in different fields, jointly train strategic scientists, leading scientific and technological talents and high-level innovation teams in the railway field.
The initial members of the alliance include CRRC Group, China Railway Communication and Signal Group, China Railway Engineering Group, China Railway Construction Group, State Energy Investment Group, China Electronics and Information Industry Group, Angang Steel Group, Huawei Technologies and Beijing Jiaotong University. The alliance will add more members if it is needed via application.
