Beijing Capital International Airport will reopen Terminal 2 and Terminal 3-E to handle international arrivals starting Sunday, according to the airport's WeChat account on Friday.
Inbound passengers have been entering China via Terminal 3-D at the airport since March 10, 2020, as China worked to contain domestic COVID-19 outbreaks while preventing the virus from being imported.
The reopenings follow China's optimization of many long-standing COVID-19 restrictions that started in November. The nation also plans to downgrade the management of the virus on Sunday.
