About 2,000 representatives from over 100 countries to attend world youth forum
Around 2,000 youth representatives from more than 100 countries will attend the World Youth Development Forum from Thursday to Saturday, the Chinese Communist Youth League Central Committee said in a release on Tuesday.
The forum, themed "For a Shared Future: Promoting Sustainable Development with Youth and for Youth" will be held online and offline in several cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, and Nanjing.
The event will have four sub-forums on employment and entrepreneurship, climate change and green development, digital economy, and inclusive, equitable and quality education. More than 100 guest speakers from home and abroad will deliver speeches.
The forum aims to create a platform for dialogues among international organizations, governments, youth organizations, young leaders and all sectors of the society, in order to advocate for prioritizing youth development, and to promote the joint implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Global Development Initiative.
An Action Plan for Global Youth Development and an International Advocacy for Prioritizing Youth Development will be launched at the forum.
The forum is initiated and hosted by the All-China Youth Federation. Organizers include Tsinghua University, China Youth University of Political Studies, China Youth Daily and China Youth Development Foundation.
