The Civil Aviation industry started a two-week safety inspection on Tuesday after a jet carrying 132 people crashed on Monday, the Civil Aviation Administration of China said.

The inspection aims to discover and eliminate safety hazards to ensure the sector's operational safety.

The inspection will be carried out in all areas, including regional civil aviation administration, airline companies, airports and pilot training organizations.

The administration will require parties to carry out self examination first. Random checks will be implemented by the administration to ensure the evaluation's effectiveness.
