President reiterates vow to present great Games

President Xi Jinping reiterated on Wednesday that China will present streamlined, safe and splendid Olympic Games to the world as the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics will open next week.

Xi, who is also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, made the remark in a congratulatory message delivered to the China Media Group Forum: Together for a High-Tech Winter Olympics, which opened in Beijing on Wednesday.

He urged forum participants to contribute their wisdom through discussions, information exchanges and sharing to promote the unique charm of winter sports, carry on the Olympic spirit and jointly advance the winter Olympic movement.

The forum was hosted by the China Media Group.
