Up-close look at Beijing Games village

With the Beijing Winter Olympics set to open in less than 30 days, how's the capital city getting ready to accommodate athletes from around the world? China Daily reporter went to an Olympic village in Beijing downtown and met some visitors to find out.
Du Peng and Pan Yifei, two visitors who use wheelchair, expressed their satisfaction with the village's apartment and barrier-free facilities.
Zhou Ying, a visitor at the village canteen, said the diverse menu caters to athletes from all over the world.
Ngatia Victor Kihagi, an international student from Kenya at the Beijing University of Technology, who was visiting the village's fitness center, praised the quality of the fitness equipment. He told China Daily that the measures taken will prevent COVID-19 cases.
