Xi meets journalist representatives
BEIJING - Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday met with representatives attending a conference of the All-China Journalists Association (ACJA) and winners of this year's China Journalism Award.
Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, extended greetings and congratulations to the representatives.
Li Keqiang and Wang Huning, who are members of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, attended the event.
Addressing the event on behalf of the CPC Central Committee, Huang Kunming, a senior CPC official, asked all journalists across the country to better communicate and explain the Party's new theories and spread the Party's voice among more people.
He called for building a reliable, admirable and respectable image of China.
