Yangchan village in mountainous Shexian county in Anhui province is becoming a favorite destination of tourists, especially shutterbugs.
Hundreds of years ago, a group of people moved to the place high in the mountains and started building residences, mostly two or three floors and mainly out of earth and rocks.
Nowadays, tourism has become an important pillar industry for the villagers, as visitors often spend the night in local homestay inns to enjoy the sunset and starry night sky.
In a recent visit to the village, China Daily reporters recorded the spectacular landscape with drones.
