China's Red Cross assists areas hit by Typhoon In-Fa

BEIJING -- The Red Cross Society of China said on Monday that it has provided 2,000 jackets, 1,500 blankets and 1,000 disaster-relief kits to assist East China's Zhejiang province following the landing of Typhoon In-Fa.
The local Red Cross organization in Zhejiang activated its emergency response on Saturday and has deployed rescue teams to conduct patrols.
In Shanghai, which was also affected by the typhoon, rescue personnel and disaster-relief warehouse staff have been on duty for 24 hours since Saturday.
