Police nab suspect in Guangxi kindergarten knife attack
A man suspected of injuring 16 children and two teachers at a kindergarten in South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region at about 2 pm on Wednesday has been caught by local police, China Central Television reported.
All the victims from the kindergarten in Xinfeng, a township of the region's Beiliu city, have been hospitalized, CCTV said, adding two of the children suffered serious injuries.
The city's government agencies, including those with public security, education and emergency management, have arrived the scene, and police have built a team to investigate the case.
According to ThePaper, a Shanghai-based online news outlet, the children and the teachers were injured when stabbed by the suspect with a knife. Authorities have not released any other details about the suspect.
