Guangdong's winning streak ended by Zhejiang
Zhejiang had a strong start to the game. 18-year-old Shi Zhenkai, who was making his CBA debut, shone from his very first minute on court. The young forward made a string of three-pointers to help Zhejiang close the first quarter 24-19 ahead. The Bulls continued their hot hands in the following two quarters, widening the lead to 30 points.
Guangdong's starting point guard Zhao Rui was injured in the fourth quarter, and Zhejiang saw out an easy win with a 24-point advantage.
Jason Thompson scored team-high 15 points for Guangdong.
Elsewhere, Stephon Marbury's Beijing Royal Fighters lost to the Liaoning Flying Leopards 107-99, leaving them in danger of missing the CBA playoffs.
In Sunday's another game, the Shandong Heroes eased past the Xinjiang Flying Tigers 114-98.
