Jilin launches search for spa visitors after outbreak
The Jilin provincial Health Commission is looking for those who had been to a sauna spa in Gongzhuling of Changchun city between Jan 8 and 13, according to local government.
Epidemiological investigations showed that at least 12 confirmed or asymptomatic cases of COVID-19 had been to the spa named Jinliyuan, including a worker of the spa, according to a report by The Paper, a Shanghai-based news portal.
Among the 12 cases, four were connected to another cluster infection in a health club in Gongzhuling. On Jan 8, a 45-year-old salesman held a workshop in the health club and tested positive for coronavirus on Jan 16.
A 72-year-old female resident that went to the spa for five consecutive days between Jan 8 and 12 was diagnosed as confirmed patient on Jan 17.
