Liaoning confirms 5 new COVID-19 cases

Northeast China's Liaoning province reported five new COVID-19 cases and four asymptomatic carriers, all locally transmitted, on Tuesday, the provincial health commission said on Wednesday.

Of them, two confirmed cases and one asymptomatic case are from Shenyang, the capital of the province. The rest are from the port city of Dalian.

All the confirmed cases in Dalian were previously diagnosed as asymptomatic carriers.

As of Tuesday, Liaoning province has 53 confirmed cases and 32 asymptomatic patients being treated in the hospital.
