Authorities in Sanhe city, Langfang, North China's Hebei province, announced on Sunday the movements of two local residents who had had contact with COVID-19 cases confirmed in Beijing, aiming to find their contacts.

Two employees of a Qing-Feng Steamed Dumpling Shop in Beijing's Chaoyang district were confirmed on Friday as being infected with COVID-19.

One of two residents of Sanhe, surnamed Niu, went to the shop on the morning of Dec 14, and walked to work at a company in Beijing. Niu works in Beijing and lives in Yanjiao town in Sanhe, about 35 kilometers east of the capital.

Niu reported their movements to authorities on Saturday after seeing news about a confirmed COVID-19 case in Beijing related to the shop, according to a notice by Sanhe city's leading office for COVID-19 prevention and control work.

Another resident in Sanhe, surnamed Chen, had lunch at the Qingfeng shop on Dec 14 and went back to Yanjiao after work in Beijing.

Their nucleic acid tests were negative and they are both now in quarantine.

The notice warned that people who might have had contact with them should report to local authorities, pay attention to health conditions and stay at home.

The city announced earlier there were another three residents who had contact with confirmed cases in Beijing. Nucleic acid tests on the residents and their contacts were all negative. All are in quarantine.
