Shanghai Customs has filed its first case of domestic intellectual property rights infringement after seizing a batch of bicycle helmets intended for exports on Dec 4.

More than 700 bicycle helmets adorned with images from the cartoon Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf were seized by the customs, and the copyright owner, Guangdong Creative Power Entertaining Co Ltd, has confirmed that these products have infringed copyright laws, according to the Shanghai Customs.

According to statistics, Shanghai Customs has encountered four copyright infringement cases through the sea and air freight channels, and seized more than 6,500 pieces of goods that have been found to infringe the copyrights of domestic and foreign animations such as Cars, Frozen, Minions, and the Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf.
