China's Xinjiang cleared of COVID-19 cases

URUMQI - Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region has been cleared of COVID-19 cases, the regional health commission said Saturday.
The region saw its numbers of confirmed and asymptomatic cases both drop to zero, with the last two asymptomatic cases in Kashgar released from medical observation on Friday, according to the commission.
No new confirmed or asymptomatic cases were reported in Xinjiang on Friday.
From Oct 24 to Nov 20, a total of 78 confirmed COVID-19 cases had been discharged from the hospital, with 352 asymptomatic cases released from medical observation in the region.
